Resident Services

About Us

At Sabin CDC we are committed to providing more than just housing for our residents. We want to ensure that every person in our housing feels supported and can achieve stability in their lives. We currently offer our residents support in seeking rent assistance, referral services, financial education, employment opportunities, and signing up for eligible programs in the community. In addition to these supports we also offer engaging activities such as health and wellness workshops through partnerships with community organizations to boost relationship building and sense of community. Our resident services program is based off SAMHSA’s 8 dimensions of wellness, a tool used to measure where residents are in meeting their social, emotional, occupational, financial, environmental, physical, intellectual, and spiritual wellness needs.

Our Mission

Through combining housing and additional services, we intend to support the whole health of our residents to meet all their wellness, housing stability, and community connection needs.

About Community

Sabin’s Livability Initiative is an ongoing and organization-wide project to intentionally improve the livability of the culturally diverse neighborhoods that we serve in North East Portland. Livability is the sum of factors that add up to a community’s quality of life. Livability is the presence of color, art, and diversity, but it’s also unusable sidewalks, skyrocketing rent prices, and lack of green space.
